Dedicated to preserving the historic property and ensuring its use aligns with the values and mission of the Old Manor Farm Preservation Trust.
The Old Manor Farm Preservation Trust is governed by a board of Trustees committed to the faithful stewardship of this extraordinary property and its mission. The Trust was established by Nick and Gerald Winnington-Ingram following the death of their father, John Winnington-Ingram, in 2021.
Nick is the head of the primogenitor line of the Winnington-Ingram family, succeeding as the eldest son of John Winnington-Ingram, the previous head of the family. After a brief stint as a trainee journalist working in a provincial daily paper, he went on to partner in a start-up with an inventor of an advanced plastic material, which was later acquired by a UK industrial group. Always having had a penchant for being practical, he has a number of building related certifications and a true passion for architecture, with a self-taught expertise in building materials and building related technologies. He resides in Budapest with his Hungarian wife, an accomplished choir leader, and they have renovated and developed two apartments in a converted historic former stately home there.
Gerald was called to the Bar of the Middle Temple and was a former practising barrister in England & Wales. Leaving the Bar to work in banking for a few years, he then went on to found The Chinese Channel, the first satellite TV station catering to the UK and European Chinese diaspora. After the channel's acquisition he relocated to Asia. He has over three decades of leadership experience as a CEO, General Counsel, strategic consultant, and entrepreneur in the technology, telecoms and media industries, as well as in environmental sustainability and creative, vocational higher education. He is committed to purpose-driven enterprises and is now an investor partner in a Gibraltar based Multi-Family Office. Gerald is based in Hong Kong with his Chinese wife, who is an accomplished senior interior designer.
Adam was educated at St Edward's School and Exeter University, where he read Medieval Studies and where he was a leading member of the Theatrical Society, performing in and directing a number of productions, including Shakespeare's "The Tempest". Upon graduating he moved to New York, joining Grey, the leading global advertising agency. Returning to the UK he co-founded Motor Industry Legal Services (MILS) in 1992 and serves as its Managing Director, through which he brings considerable experience in legal services and business leadership to the Trust's governance. Adam lives between properties in London and Wiltshire, is a prolific reader with a deep interest and knowledge of history, inter alia, and for many years served as the Treasurer of London's Chelsea Old Church.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Penelope has worked extensively with international Christian missions and has developed and led relief and development programmes across the Middle East as well as collaborating on legal Ukrainian immigrant integration initiatives. She manages property in Thame and together with her English husband is currently engaged in restoring a listed farmhouse and its outbuildings in Oxfordshire, which is close to Old Manor Farm. In addition to the spiritual support and guidance she also brings to her role a deep appreciation for heritage and the local community.
Those who have given their time, expertise, or support to Old Manor Farm, former trustees, advisors, and individuals whose contribution to the Trust deserves recognition.

His endorsement has been a formative encouragement to the Founders.

Harold Eletson served as an early Trustee of the Old Manor Farm Preservation Trust. He was a Conservative Member of Parliament for Blackpool North for five years in the 1990s, a man of wide-ranging and unconventional interests whose sharp sense of humour made him a favourite of Speaker Betty Boothroyd. He was widely known for his interest in Russia and international affairs. He passed away in June 2023 and is fondly remembered by all who knew him and worked alongside him.
Beloved Harold, from the Trustees
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
